Monday's Read: The First Weekend of 2019
Hey everyone. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead. This is the week that most people start going back to work and are getting themselves back into the routine of a 5 day week. I hope it’s not too bad for you guys!
I planned for my weekend to be quite chilled as I wasn’t feeling to great towards the end of last week. I think I caught that new year cold that seemed to be floating around. Thank god it’s gone now, but I think it’s because I tried to rest up and take things easy.
In the middle of December, I booked my horse riding lesson for the 5th Jan and I didn’t want to have to cancel, plus I was really looking forward to it. My teacher was actually a girl I’ve grown up with and use to ride with all the time so it was nice sharing that experience again with her. We started off small and I’ve booked again for next Saturday so I’m looking forward to trying out some other things.
From my lesson, I went to get my nails done and this time I went for a red. Normally I go for more subtle colours but I thought I’d try something different for a change. I also went into the opticians and have ordered myself a new pair of glasses. In year 11, I started getting headaches and was told I struggle with bad eye strain especially when I’m using my laptop and watching the TV. I need to pop back in there this week just to finalise a few things and should hopefully have them by next week.
It was all a bit rushed Saturday as I then went to watch Sam’s football match against Notts County. We managed to get 2 of my friends tickets as well so it was nice to meet up with them there and have a few drinks together. Saturday night me and Sam came home, ordered a dominos and watched Birdbox, the Netflix film that everyone’s been talking about. Looking back now, it doesn’t seem that scary but at the time, I was watching the majority of it from behind a duvet. I’m so glad I had Sam there with me as I don’t think I would of been able to watch it on my own haha.
Sunday morning me and Sam went to Starbucks and grabbed a hot chocolate. It was nice going into Colchester town as I haven’t been there for a while and I love that place because it reminds me so much of Sam and when we first started dating. Sunday evening I caught up on ‘You’ with my family. I’ve now actually finished watching the series and I’m hoping they release more - I loved it!
I hope you all have a lovely week and I’ll catch up with you guys soon!
