Monday's Read: The Weekend Before Christmas
Hey everyone! I hope you’re all well and looking forward to Christmas! I can’t believe how quick it’s come round. There’s so many things than I wanted to do throughout the month of December and I literally haven’t had time to do half of them - it’s flown by!
On Friday, it was my Nan’s birthday so I came home from work and we ordered a Dominos pizza. We then had my aunt and cousin come round so we did the cake and watched some TV. Bless my Nan, she’s just dyed her hair pink and she looks so cute, it really suits her.
Saturday morning, I woke up and went to the gym. As you probably know, I love creating my own hit sessions. Personally, I sometimes find cardio a bit boring so I like mixing it up with something different. After the gym, I went get my nails done as they were in need of some TLC. I try and stay away from acrylic nails now. For those of you who may not know already, in Marbella a few years back, I got them caught in the door which ripped half of my nail off on 3 fingers. It really wasn’t a good sight. Since then, I’ve only every had them done once or twice and will always go for gels or shellac.
When I got home, I had some lunch before cleaning my room. I organised my wardrobes which were a bit all over the place. Every now and then, I like going through my wardrobes and coordinating it by colour and by item. My shoes also needed a sort out and I’ve managed to bag up quite a few things for the charity shop. Half way through, my Brother decided to help me but I think the only reason he chose to do this was so he could have first dibs on some of my old trainers I was throwing out haha.
Later on that day, me and my friend Ellie decided to go to Ashford outlet to see whether there were any Christmas presents we could grab. I’ve near enough finished my Christmas shopping, it’s just the last few little bits that I still need to get.
It took a lot longer to get there than we expected so we didn’t actually arrive until 8pm ... it was closing at 9pm. We ran round the shopping centre as quick as we could so we were able to have a look around all the stores. I bought myself a Tommy Hilfiger which I fell in love with! I had a similar one from Zara that I’ve had for years so I know I’m going to have this one forever. I also bought myself a Clean Cotton Yankee Candle. I lit it last night before bed and it smells amazing!
Sunday morning was interesting to say the least. Ellie’s car was completely flat so we had to jumpstart her car. I’ve never done this before in my life so I had no idea whatsoever. Ellie had some jump leads in her car so we got them out, managed to undo my bonnet and spent about 15 minutes working out how to open Ellie’s haha. What a good start haha. Ellie called her insurance and they said they would be able to come out within 3-4 hours so we attempted it ourselves. I called Sam who was thankfully with his Dad who was able to talk us through it.
Once got her car started, we drove to the gym and I gave Ellie a little PT session. I set out a little hit session for us to do and we were pretty exhausted by the end of it!
In the afternoon, I started to wrap my Christmas presents and I’m near enough finished! I’ve got so much to do over the next week so I wanted to try and get as much done as possible. Later that afternoon, I went to Pets at Home to grab Flo a Christmas outfit and a new coat. I also got her a little hat but being a Pug, she hardly has a head haha so it didn’t really stay on but it was worth a go.
In the evening, Sam came round for dinner and whilst I was catching up on my emails, he was playing the PlayStation against my Brother - Ted loves it when Sam comes round and plays with him. The 3 of us also had a footmask each which are amazing! The only place I’ve been able to find them is B&M Bargins and they’re so good!
I hope you all have a lovely week and I’ll catch up with you guys on Christmas Eve.
Love Robyn xxx
