10 Ways to Make You Feel Good

Some times we have our down days and our moods can be influenced by other people or things that have happened. If you're having a tough day today, then I just wanted to share a few little things with you to hopefully pick you up and put a smile on your face.

1. Remember to smile. Always keep a smile on your face, be brave and know that this is just a little phase and it will all be over soon.

2. Complete at least 3 chores per day. I know this one may not sound very convincing, but over time it will make you feel a lot better. There's some jobs that I would love to avoid, but spreading them out to doing just 3 of them a day, makes everything easier.

3. It's okay to not know where you're at in life. Sometimes we get a bit stuck with things and may find ourself getting comfortable in situations. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's always good to mix things up every now and then to keep things fresh. If you don't know where you're at, maybe think about taking a different route.

4. Never give up. Things that come easy, aren't worth having. Things that are worth having, won't come easy. Never give up on your dreams no matter what people say or do. If you have the drive and fight to get the result you want, then don't give up until you've got there.

5. Make a list of things that make you unhappy. Take a few minutes out of your day to write down the things that make you unhappy. Then go through them one by one and try your best to change them. It may not change over night, but you've made a start by identifying what's wrong so now, all you need to do is work on them.

6. Don't compare yourself. As my Mum always use to say to me when I was growing up, 'be an individual'. Don't follow the crowd, you are your own person and that's what everyone loves about you.

7. Write down 3 things that you're thankful for in life. It may be your family, your partner, your friends or even the fact that you're thankful for your home and some of your assets. Think about the smallest things in life that make you happy and that will put everything into perspective.

8. Forgive yourself. Everyone makes mistakes and nobody is perfect. Learn to forgive yourself on things you may have done wrong in the past. As long as you've learnt your lesson, that's what life is all about. Learn to forgive yourself and appreciate where you are now.

9. Be patient. Everything takes time, some longer than others. Learn to be patient in life as good things are on their way. When you get what you were looking for, you'll appreciate it 10 times more.

10. After the rain, comes a rainbow. Sometimes things may seem like they're the end of the world. But this is just a little challenge that life is throwing at you just to see how you handle it. And that's something in itself; it's not the issue, it's how you approach it.
