10 Things I Cannot Live Without

We all have certain things that we couldn't live without. I guarantee that they're all different too! Here's my top 10. Oh and it's in no particular order ... That comment mainly goes out to my family & Sam haha. So here's how I'll kick it off;

Buy Longline Bomber Jacket

I go on about this quite a bit. I have this crazy obsession with stationary and I have no idea where it came from?! When I was in primary school, me and my friend Callie would get all excited about our new pencil cases at the start of September. In all fairness, we would probably argue about who had the best colour rubber. 'Till this day I'm still obsessed! I get so excited about new notepads, pens, planners and highlighters the most. Stationary is what makes me super organised!

Where would a blogger be without her phone?! It's literally my life and I rely on it for most things. Without my phone, I'd have no Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and everything else that goes with it! Where would I store the 2,320 photos that I currently have on my camera roll? Oh and I would need a charger of course.

Girls need their girlfriends. I have the most amazing friends who I can count on for anything & everything. Not only do they make me cry with laughter, they're always there for me if ever I need them. I don't know what I would do without those girls. I have my group of girls as well as the individual ones who I have grown up with or met along the way. They all know who they are and I love them millions.

I don't know what I'd do without my family. They're literally my rock! My Dad is probably the most embarrassing yet funniest dancer I know. Everyone relies on him at a party to bring out the craziest moves. I'll make sure I catch it on Snapchat one day. My Mum is my world. She's there with me through everything and knows me best. I could literally go on & on; she's amazing. My Brother, well. He just makes me die! We have the same sense of humour and at times we literally find ourselves crying at the silliest thing. I have quite a big family so I could continue because I love every single one of them millions.

Apart from my family, there's no one else who would do anything for me. He's always surprising me with things such as meeting me from work and cute little presents. The other day, I came home to the cutest card that he'd written; Just saying how proud he is of me and how far I've come. If you didn't know already, we live an hour apart from each other; Once, he drove us all the way from his house, to mine and back to his - Just so I could pick up my makeup & shoes. I could and would love to go on about him forever. I love him with all my heart & he's the best I could wish for < Sorry for the soppy paragraph ...

My little bundle of happiness. She makes me so happy and I love her warm cuddles. Flo follows me everywhere I go, even if that means her waking up to walk to the end of the room and back. She's always by my side. When I'm home alone on my laptop, I love nothing more than her laying next to me.

Macbook Air
More technology. I use my Mac for everything; Writing up blog posts, editing videos and photos, creating work timetables, making my Love Robyn Frames and loads more. Before I had a blog or made frames, I hardly used a laptop. Everything was always done on my phone. I don't know what I'd do without it now!

When I was in college, I remember cleaning out my bag and managed to find 7 Vaselines at the bottom. I get sore lips in the winter especially so I always have a pot of Vaseline to hand. I will never leave my house without any form of lip balm because I must apply it at least 5 times a day. I think it's brought on through licking my lips. I'm a nightmare, whenever I concentrate - I always lick my lips. So you can image at work I'm constantly slapping on my Vas.

Gym Membership
I always feel so much better after going to the gym. If I don't go for a week, then I start to notice a change in my myself which makes my self-esteem go down. With so much going on, I try and go at least 3 times a week. That's the average. I think I'm going to start going in the mornings so that I have my evenings to do everything else. It also motivates me a whole lot more before a day at work.

This is probably the same for everyone. Whenever I get petrol, I always make sure I fill a full tank as I'm always back and forth from work, home, the gym & Sam's. I spend most weekends now travelling to and from London so I always have to top up my oyster. And of course I love shopping & clothes!! So I need to make sure I can fund my habits ;)

Monday's Post | Gorgeous Gifts

 I feel thoroughly grateful as last week I had so much going on with my blog! I'd like to say that I've had the busiest week of the journey so far!

On Wednesday I was invited to the Launch of the Boux Avenue's new store in White City, London. Me and the girls had the best time drinking champagne and not to mention, hogging the sweet table! I was given the most amazing little gifts from them and I couldn't wait to get my hand on 3 new underwear sets! If you know me, then you'll know I'm obsessed with stationary. So when I dived into my goody bag, I was over the moon to find a pink notepad, pens, highlighters & postic notes. Someone knew I was coming ... ;)

On Saturday I had a super busy day! Not only was I taking over Ego Official's Snapchat, I was also getting my hair done in The Bardou, London and then came home to a package from Happy Socks!

Last week I was sent 2 new pairs of shoes from Ego Official which are literally to die for! If you missed them on my snapchat, then keep your eyes out for them over on my Instagram soon! So Saturday I spent the day walking around London as I took over Ego's Snapchat. I had so much fun doing it, including showing you all the shoes I have from them so far.

As well as the Snapchat takeover, I was so grateful to be invited down to The Bardou's hair salon to get a blow-dry. Now my hair isn't the easiest thing to curl. In fact, it's literally impossible. I've managed to have my hair curled a few times but nothing has lasted long enough. I'm currently sitting here now with curls still in my hair! I had the best experience in there and I cannot wait to meet them all again.

Sam said that he couldn't believe how much my blog had taken off when he was opening my package from Happy Socks at the weekend. I was sent 5 pairs of all different types of socks which are the cutest things! Again, make sure you follow me on Insta to see what ones I got. I also have a discount code coming soon so I'll share it when I find out.

& Lets see what happens this week!

How to Relax After a Long Day

I'm sure that many of us have those long days where all we want to do is get home and relax. For some of us, it's quite hard to relax as we may have lots going on that we're constantly thinking about. I find that sometimes I can be bringing work home with me which means I don't get time to myself.

Relaxing is so important as you need to wind down in order to get the right balance. I hold my hands up and say that when I've got so much to do, after a while I'm burning the candle at both ends and completely wear myself out. I know it's wrong, I need to work on my time management for that to make sure that I get my own time to chill.

I've decided to list 5 ways of how you can relax after a stressful day;

Having a Bath

Having a bath allows you to have your own alone time. Maybe you like reading a magazine or you're  stuck into a book - My fav book at the moment is Girl on the Train! I also love to throw in bath bombs  or use some nice smelly bath soap. Having a bath completely allows me to become stress free.

Face Mask

I love face masks! The thought of coming home, taking all of my makeup off and just sitting there with one on is so calming. I always feel so much better when taking them off because my face feels nice and fresh.

Everyone may have certain things they love doing to relax. For instance it could be watching a film, colouring in books or playing some games. Whatever it is, make sure you give yourself that relaxing time in the day to do something you want to do.

Put on some Cosy PJ's

Changing into comfortable clothes is the ultimate way of relaxing! When you're wearing your jeans or maybe even heels all day at work, there's nothing nicer than coming home to put on your PJ's. Personally, I love the fluffy ones so that I can get all cosy on the sofa and watch some reality TV.

Light Candles

Now that it's starting to get darker outside, I love coming home, setting up my laptop in bed and putting some candles on. My fav's are Yankee Candles! To be honest, I must have about 5 of them going in my bedroom at the moment. I find that lighting candles really help me to unwind and slow me down.

Maybe you have a different way that you love to relax? Don't forget to let me know :)

Monday's Post | A Bloggers Weekend

Well what a busy weekend I've had, I feel like I need another one to get over the past few days!

On Saturday I went to the Bloggers Festival in London which you may have heard about. It was so much fun! Me and a few of the girls spent the afternoon walking around stalls and getting to know a variety of brands which I cannot wait to work with in the future!

I managed to pick up a load of different products which I'm excited to test out and tell you all about them. You'll probably find them popping up on my Instagram over the next few weeks or so - Make sure your following me to see what I grabbed hold of; @batesrobyn

& Sunday was very busy as Flo had her first birthday! To celebrate it we had Sam's family round for the afternoon for dinner and cakes - Needless to say that Flo scoffed her birthday-cupcake down all in one go! Check our her Instagram to see a few of the pics from her big day; @flo.pug

Dressing Up Your Wardrobe Staples

We all have our wardrobe staples that we rely on. Whether it's a plain white shirt or a simple pair of shoes. There's always that one piece that we can put with near enough every outfit.

I know that I rely on certain pieces. Be it my; black suede skirt, leather jacket or plain tee's. I'm bound to end up throwing them on for a day in the office.

For me, boot heels have been essential in my wardrobe for years now. Ever since I started The FRA, I've been more adventurous in what I wear. After all, it was a fashion college and everyone was always seen wearing the most fashionable outfits. Since then, I've always worn black boot heels. I would say they're one of my wardrobe staples now!

In all honesty, I've been wearing the same black boots for 2 years now - which are still going strong - but I thought it would be good to introduce a new fresh pair so say hello to these new EGO beauties!

I'm quite short anyway so boot heels help to make my legs look longer and thinner - We all like those little tips to help suit our body shapes and aura.

The good thing with heels like this is you can completely change your look. If you're going for quite a masculine outfit, you can introduce shoes like these to balance it out. I find that wearing baggy jumpers, joggers or plain tee's can make my outfit look unisex. Add these black patent boots into the mix and you already look girly!

During the autumn and winter, I tend to wear tights with most things. Purely because I love skirts & dresses! Although I wear jeans, I wouldn't say they're the first things I would choose to wear. These boots look absolutely amazing with a pair of tights as they help to extenuate your legs.

What are your wardrobe staples? :)

A Few Treats from Candy Kittens

Seriously the cutest things ever!

Who would of thought that branding sweets would do so well?! What an amazing idea - I love when I hear that something so simple can become so successful and the next ‘big thing!’

If you don’t know already, then let me give you a bit of background behind CandyKittens – It was set up by Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing with the intention of becoming the modern ‘Willy Wonka’. Yeah, I would say he’s doing a pretty good job of that!

 I was in Topshop last week where I also came across the fashionable confectionary. I had to resist as I had some already waiting for me at home. I was so grateful to be sent 4 bags of gourmet sweets including;

I must say, my favourite one has to be Sour Watermelon. Which actually surprises me because I’m not a huge lover of sour sweets. I think the sour-ness was toned down a bit so I loved them! I would say that my second favourite was Sweet Pineapple.

I was away for the week with friends and family so I decided to get them all out for everyone. We all took it in turns to try the four different flavours and to be fair, I think the majority of us chose Sour Watermelon as our personal favs.

They’re made up of natural flavourscolourings and are gluten free. So all dietary  requirements have been catered for so everyone can enjoy them!

Don’t forget to let me know what your favourite flavour was J
