Styling in the City

I was so excited when I was offered the opportunity to assist with styling for a photoshoot this week. As you can tell from my blog, I have a huge passion for photography so having the chance to be behind the scenes was so interesting. Not to mention, the most adorable little children modelling for the collections, they were such a joy to work with!

Being a Buyers Assistant means that I have to learn what works well as an outfit so that’s where I came into it. It was my job to help style the models and choose their outfits and accessories for the shoot.

We started off by travelling to Tottenham in North London. Which was a lot closer than I thought! The first part of our morning consisted of setting up and preparing for the day. The first job of the day was to make up an accessories and shoes table so that we could grab things as and when we needed them. I arranged them into departments and size order to make it a lot easier for us to choose for the models.

Throughout the day I helped change the models and set the props up for the shoots. (And of course, I had to do a few drink and sandwich runs)

It was a long day, but the final article was a huge success! I’m so grateful to have helped out on the photoshoot and to have gained that type of experience in styling.

And that's a wrap!
