My Favourite Things About Winter

Winter is a season that many people, given the option, would fast forward. It can be hard to stay motivated because of the cold/dark evenings. Some people may say winter seems to last a lifetime ... compared to summer. I'm one of those people who try and take the positives out of things so my winter fav's are:

Saying that I'm a fan of candles is an understatement. This is the only time of year that I actually get to make the most of them. I love scented candles. The stronger the better. My boyfriend bought me a Red Rasberry Yankee candle for my birthday this year just because he 'liked the colour'. Well it's the best candle I've smelt to date! It's definitely a winter must have!

I've never been obsessed with blankets but this season they're becoming one of my essentials. After a long and busy day at work, I normally go to the gym, have dinner, jump into bed then snuggle up in my fleece blanket. Not to mention that I also wrap myself in my duvet. Even when I'm going round my boyfriends for the night, my blanket HAS to come with me.

Nothing beats a nice fluffy pair of pj's. This is the only time of year when I really look forward to buying myself a new pair. Not forgetting the fluffy bed socks and slippers.

I love fashion during the winter. I just love layering. This season gives me the chance to try different colour combinations and styles. In my previous blog, Winter White Wardrobe, I mentioned that I've gone for more than just one coat this season. Deciding what coat I'm going to wear is such a toughy.

Sooooooooooooo magical. I've been there twice already & I'm desperate to go back. This is something that I'll definitely be doing every year. Hyde park is a great location because it's right in the heart of London. If you're still lacking the Christmas spirit then get yourself to Winter Wonderland!

Winter has many advantages but Christmas has to be the best one of all. It's my favourite time of the year. Christmas is just a few days away and I am so excited for it! I love getting into the spirit of things by listening to xmas songs, making mince pies and watching seasonal films. My all time favourite christmas films have got to be ELF and The Polar Express. I'm still yet to watch ELF this year and I can't believe I haven't done so already! It's defiantly the next thing on my to do list.

See, winter isn't so bad after all ...
